Q: What is Softap ®Permanent Cosmetics?

A: Softap® is a cosmetic tattoo that implants pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.

Q: Is it permanent?

A: It is considered permanent because the color is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. It will fade and soften over time depending on skin type, colors chosen, sun exposure and compliance with after care instructions. Color refresher requirements vary on an individual basis and can range from 1-5 years.

Q: Is it safe?

A: At Exclusive Eyelash Designs & Spa permanent cosmetics is performed by a Registered Nurse with a an additional Permanent Micropigmentation Certification. A strict sanitary working environment is maintained. All needles are new and sterile for each client and disposed of properly following each procedure.

Q: Is it painful?

A: Permanent Cosmetics is a skin invasive procedure and therefore you may experience some discomfort which varies with individual tolerance levels. The sensation is comparable to tweezing eyebrows/eyelashes. A topical anesthetic is applied throughout the procedure for your comfort.

Q: What is the recovery time?

A: The Softap® method is the gentlest way to instill color. It results in less trauma and therefore less recovery time. You can expect to return to work the next day. Lips will normally have more swelling involved. Do not schedule permanent cosmetics prior to any major events (wedding, vacation, social events.

Q: Can I still wear makeup over the tattooed area?

A: Yes. Permanent Cosmetics should enhance your natural features. Wearing additional makeup is a personal choice and may be done at your own discretion. It is often done to go from a natural day time look to an evening look. Do not apply any makeup for 72 hours.

Q: Is there a risk of infection with Permanent Cosmetics?

A: Yes if exposed to bacteria a secondary infection may result. Please use only new mascara & makeup after procedure. Wash hands prior to applying Vaseline to area. Apply Vaseline with clean q-tip each time.

Q: What is the Permanent Cosmetics process?

A: This method requires 2 sessions which are included in the fee. The 1st appointment will consist of consultation and 1st application. The follow up appointment is scheduled 4 weeks later to perfect your makeup. Additional appointments will be scheduled on an as needed basis for an additional charge.
